Terms of use

last changed 2026-10-26

These terms cover the document conversion API served at this address. It is operated by an individual ("the operator") with software that runs unattended. Using the API means accepting them. If you do not accept them, do not call the API.

What you are buying

A request credits you with one conversion of one document, returned in the format the endpoint documents. Nothing more is promised. There are no service levels, no uptime commitments, and no support obligations beyond a best effort to answer questions that arrive through the listing you subscribed on.

The software is deterministic and has no model in the loop, so a given input produces the same output each time. It is not perfect: pages that are scans with no text layer, tables, and some multi-column layouts are handled badly or refused outright. Where it refuses, it says so with an error code rather than returning an empty document.

Billing

If you call the API through a marketplace, that marketplace bills you and its own terms govern the payment. The operator does not see, store or charge your card. Quotas, plan limits and overage behaviour are the ones shown on the listing you subscribed to, and a request that fails validation is not counted against your quota.

Acceptable use

The operator may refuse or rate-limit any caller that threatens the service, and may stop serving an account that abuses it. Paid periods already charged are not refunded for a refusal caused by a breach of this section.

Liability

The API is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, the operator's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the API is limited to the amount you paid for the twelve months before the claim. The operator is not liable for lost profits, lost data, or decisions you make from the output. Verify output before you depend on it: extraction of a document is not a substitute for reading the document.

Changes

These terms may change. The date at the top is the date of the last change, and a material change is announced on the listing page. Continuing to call the API after a change accepts it.

Contact

Use the contact route on the marketplace listing you subscribed through. That keeps the conversation attached to your subscription.
